More importantly, it lets me add documents and files to the task (so I don’t have to go searching later when its time to actually do the thing), as well as sub-tasks. When I file a motion, I put in the sub-tasks like notice of hearing, brief in support, payment for the clerk, copy to time stamp and return, notify the client, etc. I tick each one as its completed to make sure that I’ve done it correctly and didn’t get distracted and miss a step.
